Interesting point considering it's always felt in the lower rpms and in 1st gear... might be something to look at closer.
I don't know anybody that's done it yet, but it's something I was interested in doing. The clutch delay is also the reason that the RPM's bounce higher between shifts. I jailbroke my ecu and got the car tuned thinking that the the bouncing revs were from rev hang, but it was still there even after the tune.

Oh, that's disappointing, I thought all that goofy stuff went away with a tune. I wish these cars were like the Japanese sport bikes where they would rev up and back down in about 1 second.... then again, people would be stalling them all the time due to launching all that weight.

Interesting that you mentioned rpm bouncing between shifts. I haven’t noticed it on up shifts but one thing I’ve noticed on down shifts with the auto rev match is the car kinda bouncing in second and third gear during semi aggresssive downshifts. The rev match itself is smooth but after I let the clutch move it the car kind bounces its wierd ti describe. Thought it was the rmm being soft and a more aggressive rmm would fix it. I have one on order but maybe it’s the delay valve doing this? Is this the bouncing your talking about?

No, but I've felt what you're talking about. If you watch rpms on upshifts greater than half throttle you'll see the rpm increase after you press the clutch in.

gotcha..haven’t noticed it but I’ll watch for it next time.

so you’ve noticed what I’m talking about on auto rev downshifts? I’ve only really noticed it downshifting into 3rd and 2nd when the rpm’s drop to 3k or 4k..the auto rev match is smooth but the car kinda bucks after I let the clutch all the way out it’s wierd. I figured it’s the soft rmm making the engine move but do you think the delay valve has something to do with this?

when auto rev matching higher than 4k rpm I don’t notice the car bucking after..really weird

The clutch is sprung, so it makes sense that it's less noticable at higher RPM and more jerky on lower rpm downshifts. The springs will flex more and deviate some of the drivetrain shock at high rpm. I think the CDV might be a cause for a lot of the impurities that we're feeling.

Gotcha..I’m hoping the stiffer rear motor mount fixes some of that slop in the drivetrain which from what I hear it does wonders…after driving @Jester04 car it felt really good with the stiffer rmm and acuity shifter bushings..looking forward to my car feeling the same

I took had an upgraded RMM. The high RPM rev still happens. The RMM only serves to bring the torque on sooner by reducing power train movement. It was with @Jester04 that I spoke about with this problem.

**Update for anyone interested

Since making this post I’ve installed the PRL HVI intake, Acuity cable shifter bushings, and Hasport 62A RMM.

The PRL intake gives me all the noises my 12 year old self loves 🤣. Butt dyno says maybe a tiny increase in power up top but the intake and turbo sounds are amazing! Definitely recommend this to anyone.

The Acuity cable shifter bushings have tightened up the shifter marginally. Definitely feels a bit notchier which I prefer but not to the level my S2K is at with the Renegade short shifter. Better than stock for sure though!

Lastly, I installed the Hasport 62A RMM. Absolutely love this thing. It’s taken the vibration out of the steering wheel and clutch pedal which I love. No longer feel the vibration I made this post about that was making me like something was wrong. I do feel the increased vibration in the chassis but since I know where it’s coming from, I’m fine with it. No wheel hop in first at all, shifting feels even tighter, and engine actually sounds better/ better sound in the cabin. Like everyone says, it gives a more connected feel to the car. I feel like maybe the soft motor mounts were transmitting the engine vibration through the clutch pedal and steering wheel somehow which was making me feel like something was wrong with the clutch. Feeling the vibration through the chassis feels more normal/race car feeling somehow. And that vibration is only at the very bottom end right at takeoff essentially. No noted increases in vibration outside of that.

Really upgraded the driving experience for me between all three of these mods.

Now we just have to get you to go to the Hondata event on the 18th. I will be there!

Also for your downshift problem try taking your clutch out quicker. If I delay on my clutch disengage the car decides to no longer hold the rpms and then it’s like a bad rev match. If I’m quick with my footwork it’s a lot smoother.

Seems strange to me. Rear motor mount adds vibration to the steering wheel and clutch pedal at idle. Tenfold if you do the rest of the motor mounts.

—edit— I had 27Won RMM, which is a stiffer single bushing (70a).
The vibration is probably getting lost inside the car shaking lol.

yeah I’ve heard the 27Won RMM is on a different level in terms of vibration. I can’t really explain how the RMM changed the location of the vibration im feeling but it did. With the stock RMM I was getting this tiny but annoying vibration in the clutch pedal and steering wheel at takeoff. It was the reason I made this post. Since installing the RMM, the clutch pedal vibration is literally gone. The chassis vibration is definitely there and more than stock and the steering wheel vibration at takeoff is still there but less noticeable somehow. I’m not complaining though cause it’s heightened the driving expense for me and made me want to drive the car even more

I’ll try that appreciate it! I’m definitely taking my foot off the clutch kinda slow so maybe that’s the issue!

and nice! I’m still on the fence about a tune a right now though since the car is so new with warranty. Probably will hold off for a while lol
