I watched an actual video from them and their claim is that most cars dont allow the throttle to open all the way up. So if your car is only allowing your TPS to open the butterfly valve 80% open the throttle commander will let it open all the way up, and also increase pedal responsiveness thus adding potential power and responsiveness.

If your car only has one mode, and is an econobox...maybe it would make a tiny difference. But on a CTR for sure it does nothing but add more throttle position depending on pedal position, which I would guess isn't any different than just putting it in +R mode.

Day 5 of THE best mod for the money.....

With the FRIGID NE Ohio air, coming to work this AM was stupid fun! I LOVE the winter for some reason! Between the awesome throttle response AND the cold air? This car is STUPID fast/quicker and, again, the 3rd car I own with this 'update'.....PERFECT!! :)

So day whatever....and jumped on the highway today...which is the first time on a freeway since I bought it a month ago and babied it home in the snow....

I came around the LONG round on ramp, wishing for NO slop/snow/salt/-4 degree crusty roadway...not really getting on it like I have wanted to in a month! And when I came to the merge, I jumped on it!

So the throttle controller is wicked as you know, and the car just TOOK OFF! Man this thing is fast!!! Was only about 2 miles, but holy crap! Car really moves with frigid air and remapped throttle!!

PRL stuff is going on next week, then maybe the tune? Then the Pedal Commander becomes the anti theft as it was supposed to from the get go :)

And as far as tires go? The Vredestein Hypertrac ultra high perf allseasons have been really good! Not quite what the Type S SH AWD was with them, but more than adequate.

No, it's very different in ALL modes. Just enhancing that signal makes the car truly come alive! And until you put on in a CTR? Don't knock it....til you tried it! :)

I've had this one 3 different Acura/Honda's and it's wonderful! Even my RDX was SOOOO much more responsive with it! I won't run it with a tune, at least that depends on what the tuner says. The Lambda tune I had on the TLX Type S didn't need this because he enhanced that signal with the tune. So see....it's a thing :)

Anyway...wore my OMP racing gloves today! Now that added about 18 hp. Just sayin :)

If you know, you know. That's all that needs to be said here.

Let the man have his fun lol.
haha...yup...and I know! ;) I've been building and racing Honda/Acura's for decades! First nitrous fed Honda Odyssey in the US. First TLX Type S to hit sub 12 second 1/4 mile. Had a All motor 12 second civic back in the 90's. And on and on.....

So today I spent two hours behind the wheel of the type R going to pick up some cool parts from a dealer in Wooster.

and… this thing is sick with the pedal commander!! Try it before you wrongly knock it 😉😉

So! Weeks later, I got to drive the Integra Type S to the auto show, a few miles, this morning and was like "Why is this car so....slow?!" Then I realized! The Pedal Commander is THAT GOOD! :)

What a difference now driving without it...feels like the car is 'broken' lol. LOVE that thing! BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK!

Oh, and I sold an extra one I had to a client. He text me: "Holy cow! The car is sooo much more responsive and fun to drive...." Eh, but what do I know ;)
