Are you maxed out on fueling? 27won stated 300hp range easily. Sounds kinda low. Makes me yhink i should just save up and trade in for fl5.
Yeah it should. Regret being impatient and getting it tuned from someone else

Tuner said I'm capped on fueling but I don't believe him or I am and the tune is super off.

Should be able to be around 310-330 maxing out fuel.

I thought about trading in for the Type R but not only is it more expensive, all the aftermarket parts are as well.

Plus ill take my miles per gallon lol

On my 91 tune I could still get 40mpg on the highway if I stayed below 3k rpm

Dyno could just be reading low. Its not always about the numbers. Do you have a dragy?

Tuned miles driven:
4,557 (+169 miles since the last update, 32.5% of total miles)
Current mods: N/A
Current tune: Hondata 240 CARB
New issues: N/A
Tune experience notes: I haven't driven much lately, but the tune still rocks. The car feels like it's tied to an anchor when left in Normal drive mode. Hondata Mode in Sport drive mode makes a difference.

Total tuned time: 1 hour

Tuned miles driven: 38 miles

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V1.2

Tunes used: Phearable 1.5R

Fuel used: 93 octane

Additional related mods: PRL Intercooler

Problems / Issues: None

Driving style: I drive like THIS

Tuning experience notes: So far, so good. I took it out after tuning and kept it calm for the first 30 minutes per the instructions so k.con could normalize. In normal mode, I noticed a better turbo response and pulling power, even at partial throttle. Once I started flooring it, I really noticed the additional response in Individual mode. The engine feels less restrained, more spicy than stock. PSI gauge was hitting 16psi a lot more frequently than stock so the tune is working.

Quality of life improvements like no start-stop are great. Not sure how I feel about the higher 6,800 rpm limit. It's cool, but dealers can read how many times engines overrev. Ack, my warranty, why did I do such a thing?!?

As I put miles on the car and get comfortable with the tune, I'll post updates. I like to drive my car aggressively, so I'll be staying in Map 1 exclusively so I can avoid clutch and head gasket issues as much as possible. I never was able to find specific reliability stats for someone who remained in Map 1 for the long term, so I want to run that experiment: does driving a car hard in Phearable 1.5R Map 1 affect reliability?

Tuning is really easy. I used the included Phearable instructions and this youtube video (Tune Your Honda Civic Si with KTuner (Step-by-Step Guide) by Dale Does Stuff). Make sure to have your battery on a trickle charger or go for a long drive before tuning! You don't want to run out of juice mid-tune and brick your car.

Addition: Phearable states that anything under 25% throttle positioning doesn't activate the tune, which means daily driving is unaffected by tuning. I can feel the surge in power when opening the throttle from 24% to 26%!

Should start saving/looking into clutch and head studs. Anything over stock is going to deteriorate your clutch much much quicker and head studs YMMV but intend on getting it done. And if you're going to milk the stock head studs to see how far you can make them last, when you upgrade your head studs have them done properly and not the 1b1 method

Tuning experience notes: knock control solid at .48 .49. Fuel trim solid at around 0. plugs changed at 32k miles. Plan to change every 20-25k. Headstuds soon maybe? How long will the clutch last? We'll find out.

Don't need to change plugs that quick, inspect them for sure but I think that might be overkill for a OTS tune.

My clutch started going out after 10k (total 19-20k) miles or so after running map 3 daily. Never officially went out but was close.

My head gasket had some wear as well when I replaced the clutch. If your car is new the 1b1 head stud method should work. If you ignore doing head studs then when you do be sure to actually get it done the proper way and not the 1b1 method
