Model Year 2026 Civic Type R FL5 shipments from Japan have begun

Model Year 2026 Type R's have indeed started production and the first shipment of 110 units is en route to U.S Port. ETA to U.S Port: Early-Mid February 2026. ETA to Dealers is Unknown.

I'll likely be less active checking on shipments due to a busy schedule. Though anyone is welcomed to reply or PM me specific inquiries.

Well, I did notice the color code change from BL to BP in the manifests. Could mean something, could mean nothing. I have both color codes translating to BB for this chart.

I wonder if this means no refresh for MY26? I think in the other threads it was unclear if it was for 26/27’.

I’m assuming they would want a press release before cars land if there was a refresh..?

We’ll just have to wait and see. As @randomFL5guy mentioned above, I’d imagine we may see a Newsroom release to highlight changes in the next week or two if Métis Leader lands by Feb 6.

I would expect the American Honda model page to at least be updated for 2026—refresh or not—since these units will be moving to dealers once they arrive at the port.

I did read a rumor that the paint is gonna be thicker post-refresh, so maybe just a new code for a reformulated boost blue?

From what I’ve seen, it will be a MY27. As it’s being face lifted in 26, to be released and sold as a MY27

Looking through the MY26 Accessories Brochure, it doesn't spill anything from what I can tell. It's the same as the MY23-25.

Still shows USB-A, so looks like exactly zero changes for the MY26, not even the USB-C ports.
