yeah I need quiet. I leave my house at 2:50am every morning. cant really be that guy
I have the mugen. It' definitely quiet, just a tad louder than stock. I think the most notable thing over stock, is the deeper tone it has. The piping is all the same diameter, except the exit pipe is 3". Well made exhaust though.

We're currently hunting a new exhaust and this thread has been helpful, but the decision making is really quite tough for it. My wife wants one that's a little louder with just a better/richer sound.

For those who've heard multiple exhaust in person, do you think Spoon fulfills this?

The Spoon exhaust is very quiet. It is louder than stock and quieter than almost every other exhaust I've heard in person - I think only stock and perhaps Mugen are quieter.
When the Spoon exhaust is very hot (on track or prolonged highway driving), the volume does increase a little bit. The exhaust will get even louder if your downpipe is not stock.
I would say 60%-70% of the time, you will be the only person that hears the exhaust (from inside the car). If you want a quiet exhaust, Spoon is a great option.

Spoon does exactly what you’re looking for. Also consider the Saclam Siren Circuit or 5Zigen SP500 which are both slightly cheaper and less common. The Spoon N1 exhaust is actually made by 5Zigen

I'm really enjoying the sound of the MXP Exhaust right now, following my great experience with the Hybrid Racing Exhaust as well.

My one complaint with the MXP however is that the underside of the left muffler comes into contact with the diffuser undertray at slow speeds, when either the undertray or exhaust moves when setting off/rolling at slow speed. The solution I've seen others do is bend the tray down, but I will also be relaying this feedback to MXP so they can make any adjustments.

On the highway It's a little louder than Hybrid, but otherwise very livable at 65-70mph. At around 75mph (2,800rpm) there is some cabin drone. Around town it's perfect.

Thanks for the suggestions. The delta between the Spoon and 5Zigen is pretty marginal depending on shipping type/times and where you get them, so we ended up going with the Spoon. When it arrives (~2 weeks) and is installed (... we'll see) I'll try to get some videos of before and after to show how it sounds -- one thing I disliked in researching exhausts was how few people used the same mic showing a before and after sound.

I'll also probably get a decibel reader.

I had some concern about this as well as the weight of the resonator making the passenger-side tip hang a little lower. I found some slightly shorter hangers for the front of the rear muffler section and some poly hangers with offset holes for the rear that allowed a minor adjustment.

I’m thoroughly enjoying my Q300 exhaust I installed last week. I previously ran the remark dual tip stainless but I removed it due to drone. This new setup is the sweet spot for me, loud when I want it and quiet when I don’t. Bonus that the tone with the valve open from inside the cabin is very aggressive and sounds nothing like the YouTube clips of the exhaust, in a good way.
