The dealers are telling me they are now selling Siā€™s for $8000 over asking. And Type Rā€™s at least $20000 over. So now they are saying that Siā€™s are going for what a type R cost two years ago. Isnā€™t unfettered capitalism great!

If you ask me, the Si isn't even worth MSRP, let along $8k over. Haha. Madness.

Agreed, but still 70K is putting it in the realm of cars that are twice the HP and would destroy it on a track as well.

The Z06 while only a 2 seater actually gets the same or better fuel mileage and its a decent daily.
Itā€™s not a bad daily driver but it drove me absolutely nuts the days I would use it as my daily. Too much power for the chases To enjoy on the road. Let alone the constantly adjusting tip in throttle. That and the creaks drove me crazy.

At this point.. Iā€™ll gladly pay 50k for the type r.. OTD that is lol
Can certainly appreciate your thoughts but after configuring my 2023 CTR the MSRP for my build came out at $50,110 therefore I expect to pay a great deal more than $50K OTD.

Good luck going forward!!

11th Gen Honda Civic 2023 Civic Type R (FL5) U.S. Pricing: $42,895 MSRP A4F50506-C2D6-40EA-8C80-996F65429D97

By the end of Q1 2023 I doubt any dealers will be getting over 5K ADM. The market is about to adjust and production at that point will be high enough. Hold out and youā€™ll have one for a reasonable price!

Buying one at 10-20k over right now is like buying carvana stock at its peak in 2021. No doubt people will do it still. šŸ˜‚

we've been in a recession lol
Technically yes but you donā€™t normally have a strong job market and few layoffs in a recession, so you donā€™t get recession behavior like extreme budgeting and canceling car orders. Thatā€™ll be next year.
