Nice Gran Turismo music on the edit in the spoiler brought memories back! Nice parts too. Carbon looks nice on every color except boost blue in my opinion. The tariff situation was pretty easy to handle? Or do you pay everything at Damn auto correct sorry!

Shipment with tarrifs was pretty expensive not gonna lie.

I would love to get it but I think I’m calling it quits on mods for 2026 lol

Really like these 2 new mods. Had I waited and known, definitely would have picked up the hood vent and saved some money.

As for the wing risers, I think they would be really nice with the OEM CF wing.

I know what you mean about using the OEM carbon wing. I’d love to run it as well but I’m just gonna be patient and wait for the Carbon Seeker Wing.

Wing Adjustments do Make a Difference!
I’m happy to report that my initial test with the JAS Motorsport carbon wing stands do make a noticeable difference. I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical at first, even questioning whether the OEM wing provided any meaningful reduction in lift.

For my first session, I set the wing to the factory angle. In the following sessions, I ran it at the most aggressive setting, roughly –4 degrees from stock. The change wasn’t dramatic, but it was definitely noticeable at higher speeds. For example, at my local track, Turn 1 is taken around 110–115 mph at the apex. Previously, as soon as I got on the brakes, the rear end would wander slightly, creating a moment of instability before settling as I began to turn in.

With the wing at its maximum angle, the car felt significantly more stable during initial braking, which in turn gave me more confidence to carry additional speed into the corner.

In other news, I’ve officially sold my Regamaster EVO II wheels. The buyer reached out directly, and we were able to coordinate timing and shipping smoothly. The following track photos were the last ones featuring the Regamasters on the car.

I’ve already ordered a new set of wheels, another set of JDM dream wheels I’ve wanted for years. Unfortunately, there’s a six month lead time, so patience will have to be part of the build for now.

Until then, enjoy the photos and track footage with the carbon wing stands and carbon hood vent.

Complete Power Steering Failure!!
I know some of you have seen the photo of my car with the front subframe removed on my Instagram. I just want to explain what happened.

As many of you know, there is a steering rack recall on our cars for the early model years, of which I did complete at my local dealer with a trusted technician that I’ve worked with before. The recall repair was completed around the 5k to 10k mile mark, don’t remember exactly. My car did not exhibit any symptoms, but I had it done anyways and took advantage of a free oil change as always.

However, around the 20k mile mark, I started to notice on the highway that my steering wheel would get slightly heavy, then soft again with no real major input, just a slight force to change lanes or on highway ramps. I thought nothing of it at first and was thinking it was a random change of pavement on the road. After a couple of more outings, the feeling became more persistent to the point that the steering wheel stopped center correcting itself. I would turn to the right, and the steering wheel would keep pointing to the right; I would have to manually control where the steering wheel was pointing. I contacted my fellow technician, and he immediately knew it was a complete failure of the steering gearbox. He further elaborated that the recall repair has always been a band-aid from Honda and that more and more cars are starting to crop up. The technician ordered the steering rack gearbox, which took about two weeks to arrive given that it comes from Japan. The repair requires the front subframe to be removed, which will take some time. Hopefully, others on here won’t have to deal with the issue but just putting it out there.

In addition, while the car was on the lift, I finally got around to installing the Spoon Sports rear sway bar. I had purchased it from a fellow FL5 member and been waiting to install it, given I know I would need a new alignment after installation. The bar is more aggressive than my Whiteline bar, which should help further on low-speed corner entry. I’ll report once I put the car back out on track. I also installed the middle shim of the J’s Racing lower ball joint, so my front camber has been reduced to -3, and I’m trying out 0 front toe to save my front tires from being shredded. I can definitely tell the car lost its instant turn-in response and feels more like OEM. Not sure if I like it, so I might add toe out again when I install the J’s Racing lowering springs.

I’ve been pretty bummed about the whole steering rack ordeal, thus for me driving other people’s cars on track lol. I even took my wife’s Porsche Boxster one track day because I didn’t want to be absent for one of my students. Of course, I recorded it so enjoy!
