Lol a year for c8. Try 2. I’ve already inquired: z06’s are about 3-4 years out

Markups are going to be harder to avoid this go around than it was with the FK8. Because production of the FL5 is currently projected to be 40% of what FK8 production was at the FK8’s peak year (2019). Production will improve but not before 2024. So patience will be key to acquiring the FL5 at MSRP

Using current civic si numbers it’s safe to assume that no dealership will ever have more than 1 unsold FL5 on the ground available for sale at any point in time(unless someone cancels on their order which might happen a lot with the markups this thing is going to get).

Florida will probably have the highest or close to the highest amount of FL5s in the country at any point in time for sale. 4 of the top ten highest sales volume Honda dealerships are located in Florida. I can confirm that none of those 4 are selling for MSRP.

Word on the street for Florida markups are as follows: whichever dealership gets the first one in Florida that gets $15k-25k ADM.

CW, RR and CBP should be abt $10k ADM
SGP and RBP should be abt $12.5k-$15k ADM

sonic will not have higher mark-up than a champ or boost. lol

champ white is the most desirable, meaning it will 100% have the highest markup and demand on it.

As far as most dealerships are concerned CW might as well be PWP. Racing Blue Pearl is considered a “more premium” color than white by most dealerships because they do not understand the significance of CW.

well housing sales falling more than 2008 crisis, hope we go in to a depression.
That isn't happening, and the dynamics behind the 2008 crash is different than what's happening right now.

Any idea on how long the production cycle will be and will there be a refresh? Sounds weird to not do that.

Thats actually crazy, are you able to access the dealerships lists and see who exactly is on the list? I honestly don't trust the dealerships, I called all of the local ones and got on the list and they said that I was #1 but its making me anxious seeing other people from Florida saying the same thing. I really need to do chill out and stop obsessing because its really giving me anxiety lol

I also live on the outskirts of Central Florida, Orlando area. Im new and I never owned a Honda so I don't really know the lowdown on dealerships here.

CW maybe the most desirable but that should be the most common color so the supply will most likely be high. I remember seeing someone post the color breakdowns of the FK8 and CW was the most common color

The FL5 will be around for at least the next 5 years, refresh maybe for the 2026 MY. Most Florida dealerships only just started collecting deposits so you very well could be first on their list. My dealership has had a lot of interest but only 4 people have actually put their deposit down so far.

I know exactly how you feel. Shop around as much as you can, be aware that most dealerships will probably never have more than 1 available a month to sell. So if you want it act quickly.
You might not want to put ADM but trust me there’s a line around Florida of people that will happily pay it.

Thank you, I am fine with waiting, and don't need to be the first person to own one. I honestly would rather get it in late 2024. It is comforting that Florida is poised to get he most CTRs. Its just that the FOMO frenzy has me believing that the production cycle will be super short, and if you aren't #1 then its game over.

I understand the ADM game and that its part of life now, but I am pretty good with my finances, and Im single so I don't need approval from the Mrs. so its not that big of a deal for me 😅 I'd just like to be able to get one new in the next year or so.

Unfortunately, it is basically an auction. Too hard for a dealer not to pass up when there is low supply and overwhelming interest.
💯
Its really weird because used FK8s are going for $10k over so dealers are hiding behind the used market which is in an extreme cycle. I also think dealers are looking to clean up overall bottom line when new sales volume lags due to lack of supply. A $10k mark up makes up for a lot of lost volume and keeps people on the payroll.

Don't be surprised when this list starts filling out @ $5-10k over; demand for this car is sky high and supply will remain low for the foreseeable future.
If anyone finds a dealer willing to sell you an FL5 @ msrp, with or w/o accessories, give them a huge hug and buy them the best burrito in town. 🌯
