That shift knob is beautiful. Does it get really hot like the OEM one on a hot day? Also which adapter for the threading did you get? I have no idea what thread size we need.. Also which finish is that?
Nah doesn't get hot for me but I have ceramic tint all around and use a sun shade if the car is going to be outside for awhile. Hondas are 10x1.5mm. The finish is anodized black.

Looking at your license plate, I’m wondering if you grew up in Boston?🤣
Hahaha I can totally hear it now but I actually made it based on an Asian accent as I'm Japanese/Korean haha.

Absolute killer of a build!!

Just went through your FK8 build, cant wait to see some track photos!
Thank you sir! The track is calling me especially with all these suspension mods. Curious to see how I'll like it or hate it compared to the fk8.

4 months later and the Aimgain rear diffuser in cf arrived from Mastermind NA! Excellent quality and 99% spot on fitment (one clip hole was a tad off but nothing a little elbow grease wouldn't fix). You reuse all the oem hardware and the instructions tell you take off the whole bumper but I thought I'd try not to....and as you can see I failed that exercise.

I think it mixes well with the CLEiB lip and EVS canards. It's subtlety aggressive. Now I need to readjust how far I have to move the car in to close the garage as it now sticks out like 2" more haha.

I was shocked when Two Step shipped the valve cover in a day after I placed the order. Who canceled theirs?! Anyhow, I wanted to keep it neutral tone as I have a hard time committing to colors/themes. Waiting on one more big prac to arrive before I attempt the install. 😏

One thing I really didn't focus on the fk8 past coilovers and camber adjustment was correcting the geometry from lowering it. This time will be different. Goal is to see if my smooth brain can tell the changes on track and then add power as needed. Honestly having over 400 at the hub on the fk8 on e-blend was great for daily driving....wonder how 500 feels...no no k back to chilling.

SUPER interested in feedback around the bushings/anti-lift kit. I honestly was not aware there were parts available for the FL5- I know many things carry over from the FK8 but I'm even more skeptical having a DE5... which I realize I'll have to reach out to Powerflex to get their take on DE5 fitment anyway but this is a good start and has me intrigued.

Have you considered roll-center correctors as well? Do you happen to know if there are any elongated tie-rod ends for bump steer correction (I think there might be some for the FK8 but I cannot find any for the FL5/DE5...)?

I feel like even if there isn't a mind-blowing seat-of-the-pants difference, just knowing that critical geometry components have been accounted for will give me valuable peace of mind.

And I'm at the point now where I'm trying to sequence when I do coilovers, and I'm leaning almost completely in the "geometry correction" direction.

I have a Spoon bump steer kit ordered (Japan sight says FK8 application is the same as FL5 but oddly enough all the US sites and GoTuning doesn't list it as applicable for FL5). I'm sure it's fine.

Once everything is on and alignment redone I'll see if it makes any difference. I did notice when I went to coilovers and installed the rigid collar kit driving over the Botts' dots on the highway unsettled the car more than usual...but might be because I'm increasing the stiffness of the chassis. I'm just a mid modder so I'll know more once I take it to the track.

SDI E-CLIK kit arrived! I ordered mine from Unity Performance as they had the best pricing and free shipping.

The way I arrived to doing this mod is that the RSR active coilovers only adjust within a range to what sport is set at so if you set the dampeners to the middle number it'll just go softer or harder on an unknown linear scale. Wanted to take full advantage of the oem system working with these coilover so I found SDI makes a kit that replaces the oem module and also has you install an IMU sensor so it can adjust the shocks in real-time. Pretty wild when I think we have an aftermarket solution like this to unlock more customization for a car.

The whole install process took me about 2 hours. My 3 year old daughter was my helper so yeah...haha. If anyone does this install I'd suggest getting some felt tape to wrap on parts that may make contact with the chassis.

The quality of this kit is really well done. They include a new vent with a 3d printed mount for the touch screen. Mine was installed upside down when I powered it up for the first time. 🙃 Everything is plug and play and the instructions are clear enough to get you through it all.

Wanted to take it out to the canyons but it'll have to wait as it might rain soon.

IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) Sensor. They have you adjust the angle that it sits at then tighten it down. Doing back to front is easy but left to right is sorta hard as the mount doesn't give you any play to tilt it at that angle. I ended up getting lucky by just playing around with it and tightening it down.

Only thing I can think of that might be an issue is possibly inner barrel clearance. I'm curious to see your results!

Was waiting for a delivery and the driver texted me saying he left it at the gate entrance to our community so I hopped in the car and was about to go and then saw someone pull up to my house. Thanks for doing your job correctly, delivery person. Guess I'll just shoot it since I moved it out haha.

The build looks amazing! Do you feel any difference with the dampers you installed? Also, how did you make them fit with the Cusco brace (if you posted it above)? Sorry for the double question! 🤣

Thank you! I'm actually going to try and install the front cusco brace with the Mugen damper today. Ordered allen key bolts to get more room between the 2 pieces. I'll definitely update the thread with my findings.

Oh and the dampers do change the feel of the car. Less cabin noises and it feels even more solid with all the other bracing and being on coilovers. I'd recommend only doing it when you stiffen things up.
