First, the MRT Street Race Axle Back exhaust is a nice system, well priced, and appears to be an easy install. I'd prefer to have more detailed data before deciding upon any exhaust upgrade. Before-and-after dyno results plus spectral data measured from a fixed distances from the outlet(s) would make for a much better decision. Subjective comparisons and listener judgements are too variable from one person to the next. Several years ago (too lazy to look up - LOL), a YouTube comparing different exhausts on a S2000 driven past the same location, plus acoustic spectra, were enough for me to make an informed decision. I wanted the Mugen system, but couldn't afford it and ended up with a Skunk2 cat back exhaust that (in my humble opinion) was perfect for me, but strongly unappealing to my wife. For my FL5, I leaning towards the MRT setup

Got this in the mail today. Gonna wait a little to see if Greddy comes out with that Supreme catback to complete the exhaust. Love the greddy sound on those clips

Are you gonna be installing the DP & FP? Would love to hear sound clips of it with the stock catback.

Yes, but if some cat back becomes available when about to install I won't use the stock exhaust. Either way I'll post a sound clip

About this AWE, I like the "true 3" concept

Has anyone checked to see if the valved exhaust on the FL5 is driven by the same type of vacuum line as you'd find on a Porsche or Audi exhaust? If so, it's generally super easy to crimp and zip tie it to keep the valve open all the time and add some extra sound. Just curious.
It is fully electric controlled.

Just laying here thinking what to make? Keep the valve or no?
3 tips of course, will likely stick with all v-bands because they seal the best and in stainless steel.
80mm pipe size again probably. anything you guys want to see?

I'm in for a true 80mm all the way and Ss. I'm in the market for exhaust, ready to buy. I got a dp and front pipe waiting in boxes, just need the right exhaust. I've already ruled out a few that have come out. Take my money 💰
