This thread makes me want a Type R.
I think it's a reasonable ask of yourself to complete the matching set of Acura & Honda variants. ;)

Updates on the Spoon brace bars.....so yeah my bucket seat doesn't creak anymore when I exit the car....wtf. I noticed it today when I showed up to a meet this morning. Kept the Civic's brain lid open to show all the useless bling bits that no one sees 99% of the time. As a photographer I avoid open hood shots of car unless it's got an LS swap or something really dumb like a k series in a boxster.

Hey man those K swaps in Porsches are legit. Everyone knows about the IMS bearing issues, but not everyone talks about the VICTIMS. The K swaps are a perfect solution for folks whose M96/97 engines ate shit and they don't want to go source another Porsche engine when Honda engine do trick.

I completely agree. I was just using the word dumb as in stupid dumb (cool dumb) haha.

How does Cobb compare to Hondata for advanced tuning like this (i.e. with cams)? My understanding is Hondata keeps the relevant tables locked down, and you'd need to move to Motec if you were running something bigger than the 4Piston TR2.5s?

I honestly don't know enough to make that comparison between the 2. My general idea is just adjusting ar ratios and timing. My @JST Performance can chime in and give us a proper answer as they're my tuner for these upgrades.

@nojeebs, I just spent an hour drooling over my keyboard, reading through your entire build thread. Absolutely incredible, my friend! The absolute pinnacle in every aspect of this car. Love the detail, the photos, and the banter - this is what the forums are all about :) Can't wait to see where you take it next!

Favorite vent insert. 98% on fitment. The passenger side edge has a 1mm gap compared to the rest of the piece sitting perfectly flush. I do have ppf so I'm wondering if that's causing the issue. I also read and was told the hardware might rust and the metal grill should be resprayed as that'll rust too. I'm going to leave it as is for now since I do have a hood on order and would rather sell piece how it came from JAS.
I finally got around to installing my FL5 mustache and I can put a fingernail under the passenger side end lip (pointy part) but not the drivers side. I opted for a ceramic coat instead of PPF.

I'm waiting on titanium studs. I'm wondering if I should spray the grill with some form of rust protection. Kind of disappointing for the $ that the equipment wouldn't be protected from the elements.

Great question! Some of the VE tables are baked into OE ECU logic and can't be adjusted directly, as far as we've found; however, we have exposed some additional tables in our software to assist with this. While not comprehensive, it's a middle ground before jumping to a standalone ECU, and the rabbit hole that takes you down 😉

Wow! Never thought a reply from a representative of Cobb was on my 2026 bingo card; but here we are. Haha. Really grateful to your response in seeing my endeavor into how many mods I can get away with before the wife questions her vows. 😬 Oh not sure if you can help in this matter but Brian at JST Performance reached out to you guys in getting help with defeating the P0011 and P0014 codes I randomly throw due to the 4 Piston TR2.5 cams I'm running. Sounds like something in regards to my year ecu as he normally can cancel out those codes from showing up.

Oh so my grill and hardware on the JAS hood vent has had no issues as others have stated when I posted about it on IG. I've washed the car several times since installing it and it's parked outside during work on the weekdays. No rust or oxidizing to report on.
