So after looking through 100 samples of different shades of white for powder coating, I think these 2 are the closest. Number one is called off-white-II and number two is called snow bunny. Company is prismatic powders.

I am planning on trying something on a set of wheels with off white II but likely not till March or April.

Also, three looked close but then I put it with the other two and it was much too light so I didn’t really think it would work.

I had custom 18x9.5 ET60 wheels made and I had them put on my FL5 last week. Steering feel is just as good as stock, torque steer is just as nonexistent, and powering out of corners is so smooth and stable with very precise steering. Just point and squeeze. It's amazing, just like stock.

I previously had an FK8 and even with ET53 on that car I noticed some torque steer compared to stock and some magic lost compared to stock when powering out of corners. Not bad at all with just ET53, but slightly noticeable. I'd have to add minor inputs to the steering to power out of corners, due to torque steer, instead of just feeling the road and lateral forces and grip. So for the fussy driving feel people, I'd say custom ET60 wheels are worth it.

Obviously, this is just a feel thing, to honor the engineering Honda put into the front suspension, specifically the dual axis strut that features drastically reduced "center offset." See here to understand what Honda put into the front suspension to banish torque steer: https://global.honda/en/tech/Dual_Axis_Strut_Suspension/
Even ET53 kinda makes all that work Honda did kinda pointless, imho, but +53 is way better than +45 or +38.

This doesn't effect lap times and if you keep a strong hand on the wheel the majority of people might not even notice, just reporting that I did notice and I'm very happy with the results of ET60 wheels.

Hi, I've had this thread page open in a tab for months and I made an account a while ago to ask about some wheels and I'm finally getting around to it.

Last May I traded in my 2017 base civic for a 2024 type R and I love it. Those Michelin Pilot Sport summer tires are the stickiest things I've ever had. Yet, because I live in the northeastern usa, I put on some continental extreme DWS all seasons for the winter time. It works well enough for the occasional light snow in my area.

Now that spring is approaching, I'm interested in getting another set of wheels to use them for the Michelin summer tires. I do not know anything about the amount of tolerance/wiggle room there is with getting tires to fit different sized wheels.

So I have the summer set of:
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
Size: 265/30ZR-19

What are my options with getting another set of wheels to put these tires on? I tried looking up the Honda OEM forged wheels Part # 08W19-T60-100 and when I asked the parts department at my local honda garage they said those wheels are roughly 800$ per wheel. I'd want to be certain the wheels would fit the tires and car properly so the Honda wheels would be the easiest thing but I'm also wondering if I could get anything else (as long as they can fit the tires and car).

Thank you! And thanks for the link, I'll have to check out these other wheels. I'd have to do a little more research but I might be willing to wait a few months for some nice wheels. It looks like there are quite a number of different options. As long as I make sure they fit those michelin tires I might end up getting something from japan

Black Hawk Japan (BHJ) has a lot of nice JDM stuff. No sales tax but you do have to pay a minimal amount to clear customs for the shipment to be delivered. There are also several US based vendors on this forum that have wheels in stock ready to deliver.

So...
I was reading a few posts by a user "hammered sole". Looks like this person has long been booted from this platform, for whatever reason.
However, he or she did talk about a wheel company of whom I had never prevoiusly heard:

This company seems to be a very legitimate Honda focused fabricator in Japan.
Just for fun (maybe), I "built my own" custom set of wheels on the Mita site. Very fair and affordable prices for JDM Forged wheels.... if the company is legit.

Has anyone here bought any Mita products?
Does anyone here have a set of Mita wheels?

Inquiring smooth brained mouth breathers would like to know.
