Sounds like what they do at the BMW days at Monticello. I didn't take that ride because I didn't want to puke on everyone lol
hahah yep it was at monticello with bmw. Some people went for a second ride, I was good on that, was hella sick when I got back to the paddock. Fun though but I rather do the sliding myself

I got motion sickness doing the M5 0-60-0 when the other person was driving.

I didn't like sharing a car with some random on track. I wouldn't do it again.

yeah same, when we were doing the track I did not want to go with the other person but the other person came with me. No thanks.

I would not do it again but it was a great intro to the track, I enjoyed it cuz I had never done any track events. Also Monticello is incredible.

not sure you know but now a few clubs are doing hpdes there, not too many and its like $750 for the day but its finally possible to drive monticello without the bmw thing or being a millionaire

Yeah I can relate to that. I think you get sick easier when someone else drives. I remember doing the GT350 Track Attack and at the end one of the pro drivers gives you a hot lap and I remember just wanting it to end because I was feeling so nauseous

Also will I need an alignment for my new tires? I remember someone saying that you don't need to worry about camber woth the Hankook RS4 because its an endurance tire

No need for an alignment for new wheels and tires.

As far as camber goes, camber is always a good idea on track, the type R comes with a little camber, its not much but its more than a lot of cars. If you take the PS4s out there you are going to destroy its sidewalls since they are a lot softer, the RS4s will be a lot more resilient, you can still destroy them but its gonna take a lot more. I had my RS4s on 2 track days and they look fine on stock camber, I can see some wear on the sidewalls that would not happen with some more camber but they are totally fine, the PS4S I did 1 event and they look way way worse.

You will be fine with no camber for now, eventually as you get faster then you can do some camber. With a tire like the Bridgestone RE17RS I would definitely want more camber but the RS4s wear like iron

oh you can also pull the pins and get a little more camber but then you would have to get an alignment. I did not do it for last season because I was too lazy to get an alignment (also don't trust most shops), I just pulled em a few weeks ago and will be installing camber ball joints in spring

I'd get one just to make sure toe is in check. Kerbs can kill an alignment. Might as well pull the pins before you go too. I think it's good $100 to spend.

Im honestly hesitant to pul the camber pins because I honestly have no idea where they are or what to do ?

Think I'll just get an alignment since my tire mysteriously went flat on my last track day. I did also hit a curb pretty hard abusing the track limits going through a S turn lol

Okay thanks and by adjusting the camber is it fine if I use the stock wheels and tires for street use?

Oh yea. You'll only get like -1.8 which is totally fine on a street driven car even majority of the time.

I'm buying my hybrid s hans device this weekend. Just need to find a place with a medium in stock. Discovery parts is out of stock. May just reach out and see if they have an ETA.

And of course I'm borderline between small and medium. I'd like to commit to losing 15 lbs but not banking on that ? That would offset a new intercooler ?
Check OG Racing. They usually have everything in stock. https://www.ogracing.com/products/s...sq=Hybrid&_ss=e&_v=1.0&variant=31776558415938
