I'm holding off on projects til the spring. If I keep the car, then I'll start knocking out projects then. I am known to trade-in cars pretty often lol, but this is my 3rd of this chassis, so I think i like it a bunch

I currently have my new CR-S tires warmly wrapped up inside the house. Might give them a snuggle tonight so they know they are loved.
I do the same thing. Although, it's been a year with the FL5, and I have a VERY hard time thinking about what could come after this. It checks all the boxes, so it would really be the question what else and not what would replace the FL5.

same here, my 1 year is in Feb with this one.

1st FL5 was 1.5 months, DE5 was 5 months, and currently 9.5 months with this one.

When i had the DE5, I was like this is not really a track car like the FL5, so I bought a project Miata. Was all excited to rebuild a project, and then got the FL5 again, and it's literally been sitting on my QuickJacks untouched since Feb. I need to get it back together, at least as a roller, so I can put the FL5 in the garage.

FL5 is just so engaging, and well I love me some boost, so here we are.

LOL. I had a NC before the FL5, and to be honest, it was much more comfortable in my 20s than in my 40s lol. I got a great deal on it, so reselling it wasn't too bad. First time I didn't set my money on fire buying/selling a car quickly..

exactly my project, a NC1. I was building it for the SCCA CSX class.

I basically bought a shell, but I didn't know it until it was delivered. Nothing in the car worked, so I had to get a NC2 motor, and then a NC2 trans, and then a LSD diff. Still haven't even started it to see if the motor is even good at this point. And, instead of paying $4k for the Penske suspension as the class requires, i would rather dump that into the FL5.

LOL. I got a set of Hoosiers delivered to work the other day and my wife said “bring them home so they don’t get too cold this winter”. I didn’t tell her they’d probably smell but she hasn’t told me to take them back yet so I think I’m good.

Anyone got the OEM carbon wing? In a moment of weakness I bought one that was being sold "local-ish". I am not expecting it to really do much lol, there are no numbers out for it, only a video where the drift king is saying how much better the rear feels with the wing. However I find it hard to believe since it does not seem like he is going all that fast (its raining + small road). I would love to bolt it on and try it on but its 30 degrees out, salt everywhere and I don't even have anything but summer tires so its going to have to wait till spring and a track day to see if I notice a difference, curious if anyone has any experience with it as it should have a bit more downforce but also drag

no numbers, but it definitely felt "different" swapping between the two. I was unsure about the look of it for the first couple days, but now I like it so much better than the stock one.

You did good, it's looks nice!

Nice, I knew someone here must have some track days with it.

I need to bolt it on, not sure about the look, I think the oem one looks pretty nice but I think its one of those things that will look better in real life than in pictures. Even just sitting on my table its really nice pice but I good to know that is functional, I mean it does make sense as its more agressive but could be just minimal. I am going to try to bolt it on tomorrow.

I polished and ceramic coated it before I installed it. The water beading looks great...now I need to do the rest of the car as it has dealer installed swirl marks.

I ceramic coated it as well, 2 coats, should be nice. Need to do the car too, I just been doing the turtle wax ceramic and since I garage it and don't drive too much that stuff lasts for 3 months no problem.

it's definitely not a good financial decision that I make, but the heart wants what it wants. lots of mods and then as soon as that itch is scratched, next....lol
This was me in my mid-20's (albeit with much cheaper cars) - I was averaging changing out several cars a year with 2-3 cars at a time, but as I got older (late-30's now, so basically in a senior home 😂), moved to a more expensive house/city, and I started to like higher-priced cars I slowed down a lot.

I'm now averaging changing out about 1 or less per year, and I've had my Tesla for 5.5 years now which is a record for me - also, it's faster than the Civic everywhere (including NCM, by seconds). 😂

I only really regret 2 car deals:

Sold a 1991 EF Si hatch, red, California owned its whole life until I purchased from original owner. Soo perfect. Sold it for some reason and bought a DSM. WTF was I thinking 😂

Almost bought a S2K AP1, 29k miles, mint unmodified from a local dealer for $14k a few years back. Bank was closed, couldn't get a check for the dealer. Changed my mind. Still haunts me lol.
