Also for track insurance is there a website that I can easily use to shop around?

On the tracks website they only offer Hagerty and it was like $450 for a quote lol. Seems pretty high right?

no website that I know of.

Just get quotes from a few. I use ontrack but there is also Lockton and Open Track and probably a few more. I use ontrack cuz have heard good things and seems to be the cheapest.

Is it okay to buy it on the day or do I need to do it the day before?

you have to buy it before. I would also buy it a few days before for on track cuz they take a few hours at least to send you the writer. Till you have that, nothing is comfirmed.

Whats the upper limit of the coolant temp that I should be ready to start doing cool down laps?

I know for oil temps around 275F is when I should back off

Same day is fine for Hagerty and Lockton, not sure about the others.

I do it a day before as 1 less thing to worry about with all the adrenaline
