I see, thanks for the feedback. Yes, I do have e85 near me. Would you recommend mixing it in for daily driving?
1.0-1.5 gallons of E85 should keep your k.con locked down at .49. You can do this for daily driving and track / racing.

Last week I added 1 gallon of e85 followed by 2 gallons of 91 to fill up the tank, which had only Costco 91 in it prior. I don't really see much difference in kcon tbh. It still goes up to .53 after a hard pull in second/third. I did see my average mpg drop.

Based on a rough calc, 1 gallon of E85 with the remaining fuel in the tank being E10 91 octane, would yield approx 92+ octane at E16.

The owner's manual says that I shouldn't go above E15 fuel so I lean towards not adding more E85 to this mix to see if kcon improves.

Total tuned time: 14 months

Tuned miles driven:
15,000+

Tuning device used: KTuner V2.0

Tunes used: TSP Stage 1 (1 year) Drob etune (2 months)

Fuel used: 91 octane

Additional related mods: 27won gin (journal bearing), 27won 4bar, 27won CAI, 27won FMIC, 27won downpipe, prl front pipe, Magnaflow exhaust, Rv6 fk8 retro w/ exedy stage 0 clutch kit, inline pro head studs

misc - 27won snorkel, 27won FSTB, garage line 20mm spacers eibach lowering springs, prl rmm

Problems/issues: Clutch started feeling like crap after 1 year of living in TSP Stage 1 map 3 tune with frequent pulls and spirited driving. Eman said the head gasket had some wear (did proper head stud w/ new gasket and noticed some wear during install not the 1by1 method.) Spark plugs are good for another 10-20k miles. Clutch was shot

Driving style: Pulls here and there with some occasional spirited driving on highway/canyons

Tuning experience notes: The TSP stage 1 tune definitely woke the car up a bit. It actually was not fun in map 2-3 in city traffic for me personally. Outside of traffic it was fun but could still feel room for improvement.
If you intend on tuning your car please be prepared for an eventual clutch/head job to be done.

Custom Etune Drob - I added the custom etune when purchasing the 27won gin turbo with the other supporting parts (clutch, head studs, 4bar sensor). Starter tune for the gin turbo felt great once I was able to get on it after breaking in the clutch, currently on rev2 of the tune and it feels so much better than the starter tune and cannot wait until the tune is complete.

I was unable to find any videos or reviews for the most part of the 27won gin turbo so feel free to reply to this if you want any additional feedback/videos

'23 Si on Hondata 240 CARB. Stock otherwise. Added another 870 miles. Total tuned miles of 3,030. Still runs well. If anyone uploads this tune to their Si with Hondata Mode enabled, there is a noticeable difference between Normal and Sport. The extra torque that Hondata programs into Sport definitely gives more shove.
'23 Si on Hondata 240 CARB. Stock otherwise. +509 tuned miles. Total tuned miles of 3,539. I drove the car in Normal for a couple weeks. It definitely felt more sluggish than when in Sport, but I think it's actually how it felt when it was stock. Glad I tuned!

Feel free to ignore my delusions, but I wanted to put this out there to see if anyone has experienced something similar. I've had the RV6 FK8 retrofit kit on my car for about 1900 miles now. To keep it tuning related, I've got about 5,000 miles tuned with Phearable 1.5R with no engine problems whatsoever.

I have a fairly long commute (37 miles each way, of which 34 of that is highway) and occasionally, it feels like the clutch feels heavier with a slightly higher bite point after getting off the highway. It gives me no issues with shifting, no odd smells or sounds, etc. but it's like I have to recalibrate my brain for starting and shifting towards the end of my drive home. I'm not sure what would cause this, or if it's just in my head, but after slipping my factory clutch and paying a bunch to have the RV6 kit installed, I'm just hoping it's not installed wrong or slipping or anything. Holds 4th gear WOT no problem, but I did this kit to give me peace of mind, and I ain't getting it! Anyone ever have a similar problem, or am I just being neurotic?

I do remember having a higher bite point at times. I recommend adjusting your clutch pedal position and bleeding your CSC. This has fixed my high bite point issues in the past.

You'll want to follow the manual's procedure but you'll want one more full turn of clutch master cylinder push rod extension. I'm down to stop by next weekend after I pick up the ITS to assist.

Each offer to help me with my POS buys you an additional set of hands for the next ITS job. I'm gonna check this clutch pedal adjustment screw tonight cause now that I think of it, there's really no free play at the top of the pedal travel, and I know there should be!

Just clarifying, you were running tsp stage 1 with the OEM head studs right?

Yes OEM headstuds with tsp stage 1. I guess I got lucky not everyone can run it as well as I was able to. YMMV

Understood. Was there any reason you didn’t go with the 1by1 method?

I took my car to Eman and his personal recommendation was to do it right the first time as there was no way to verify wear or anything with the 1by1 method (car had 24k miles) Along with that my guess would be the mileage and his personal experience with the car. My gasket had some wear, also did a valve adjustment for me pretty cheap since it was all taken out.

Also for my ease of mind, wouldn't want to go back at some point after having him do 1by1 since this is my daily.

So here's a question for everyone... Has anyone been running the Phearable 1.5(NON-SI) tune? I've seen posts about running it on MT but no CVT posts(I may have missed them.)

I've got the remark Link loop and 27won SRI but will eventually be adding the CAI upgrade to the SRI and the 27Won TIP.

Is the 1.5 that much better over stock? I'd love to have the 1.5R but it isn't available for the CVT and according to an email reply I received, they don't plan on releasing it.

A lot of people have been running the tune on a CVT. They originally created the tune based off the CVT since the manual transmission models were not released until a little later.

Directly from Phearable in the Features section of the tune for the 1.5T non-Si.

Right, I've read their info. I'm just wondering if that specific tune is really worth it over stock. I've seen folks mention the 1.5R and they love it. I'm hoping the 1.5 is just as good, given the CVT limitations.

Yes, its a lot better over stock and definitely worth it. I had a '16 Civic and a '23 Sport Touring 6MT both with the non-Si tune and it was great, its how it should've been from factory.

The tune will also takes advantage of any mods you have since you're not getting the full performance from them.
