I agree, even the Z06 is unobtainium for most of us, I would probably go for the Z06 over the ZR1 to be honest. I still don't like how these cars look though, ferrari from temu. I bet they are amazing to drive though and would be ok owning one.

The deals will be on C8 base cars or lightly spec, those cars will eventually be in 40s and boy that car for 40 grand is an insane bargain, they are great on the track. Too bad no manual but for track I don't mind autos anymore

I added several C6 Z06 to cart before eventually buying the FL5. I just had to level set with myself I am not a corvette guy..

$45k was still tough for me most I have ever spent ? I have a mental block can't purchase expensive cars.

I've always wanted a new M3, that dream died once the G80 price tags went almost and have surpassed 6 digits in some builds.

Here I am in my Civic. It's fine.

I drove a G80 M3 Comp xDrive.

Truthfully though, it didn't move me nether regions as much as I thought. It was mundane at slow speeds. The steering feel was pretty terrible, at all speeds, and you had to go over 80 to really get some sensation of the driving dynamics, which were great and would have been better if the steering wheel knew it was great.

Had the salesman holding on as we went a bit sideways exiting a chicane, RWD bias and then it bit hard and we powered out. Car was amazing at higher speed corners, but it was a car that would have ended me up in jail in no time for me to enjoy it, and the steering feel was really a bummer. The EN i went to the dealer with had a better steering feel, and the all the techs came out and wanted to talk about the Hyundai.

you don't need to get an expensive bmw to get a good BMW though. F8x can now be got pretty affordably and they are excellent, I actually prefer to any of the G cars. I really miss my F87 comp. The car was just too much fun, would take it over the new M2 all day long, actually if I was to do it again I would buy the non comp M2. The comp has the motorsport engine which is technically a better engine and more power and its better on track but the OG M2 still has plenty of power, small upgrades will make it fine on track, sounds WAY better and its just more fun on the street.

I dunno if its apparent but I am really missing a RWD car. That will be the thing that makes me sell the FL5... its like either I am able to add a RWD car or the FL5 will probably go

Out of the dozens of cars I've owned, only 3 or 4 have been RWD. I just can't get away from understeer ?

I usually don't, but there's no harm in doing so - obviously it depends on the track. Some tracks are conveniently located close to gas stations off-site, some have minimal surcharges for 93 on-site, and some just suck all around. Unless I'm doing the truck and trailer thing though I usually just figure it out without brining anything - thankfully the Civic doesn't drink fuel like some of my other cars have (looking at you, RC-F ? ).
