I would consider it but not at msrp. I can understand if it was 2023 markup for every where but now msrp is normal. I would ask for discount or they need to add a wing and something. I would say 4k accessories or 4k discount

why fuck dealers? because they are being full disclosure with you? most dealers would not say a word about repaired damage, many people on this forum are driving around "perfect cars" that had paint or body work before it was ever sold new, happens all the time. be grateful this dealer told you up front so you could make an informed decision.

Hard pass. I was recently buying a new BB. Dealership lot porter damaged the car. Passed.

Found another new BB and got $1k off of MSRP.

While transit damage can happen, I would walk away from this one.

Yes, it could have been worse. But you have not taken delivery yet. Try to find a different copy.

My guess: drove into a tow ball on a truck. Probably went right through some stuff in a straight line.
Yeah, that was my first thought too. People expect parking sensors in virtually all new cars.

You definitely understand how this likely happened. Haha. TBH, it took me awhile to get used to the size of the FL5 after owning an FA5 for nearly 14 years. It was tricky to judge how close the front bumper is to things and there’s quite a bit of the car out front that you can’t see from the driver’s seat. I’ve never scraped anything but the plastic air dam (a couple of times), which is basically a wear item anyway.

"Made Contact"! 😂
If it were just the bumper cover I would maybe take it, but the bar and intercooler was replaced. That takes a lot of force which means someone was driving it over normal parking speeds and hit something hard. I would ask for more off the msrp price and the Honda extended warranty free. Problem is if you go to resell it, Carfax will show an accident and you'll get less for the car.

If they don't disclose this to a buyer they are looking at a potential lawsuit, on a new car especially.

Heck no ! , I wouldn't. You'll find another dealer that will sell it for msrp. Patience is key. Took me a month to find a dealership willing to sell for msrp and in red. Had that sucker enclosed. I live in vegas and had it delivered from Chicago.

IF it just "made contact" and they just replaced a bumper cover or cracked grill Id want a bunch of $$ off MSRP. Replacing the intercooler and all that other stuff means they are lying a LOT, sounds like someone wrecked it. so in that case F NO
Agreed. I had to get my bumper and grille replaced on my FK8 when someone backed into it with a tow hitch on. Didnt manage to damage anything else and that wasnt just a "bump".

I get where you are coming from but being grateful that the dealer disclosed something they are LEGALLY obliged to do lol is not something someone should be grateful for but yes its great that some dealers are transparent. They are giving him a choice and he can walk away which is what most would do

Yeah, they’re just trying to see if they can get a buyer on the hook before disclosing the bad news. It’s not a horrible strategy given the fact that most of us here would walk away before even talking about the price (if we knew the bad news up front). It just depends on how you look at it. Would you rather hear the bad news first or last?🤷‍♂️

Too many parts replaced.

Had a similar experience years ago and later noticed the unit body "frame rails" were tweaked. Luckily that car continued to drive okay, but that was when tall sidewall tires and soft suspension could mask alignment issues.
