i mean the real move is to use the 2 piece on track and the single for the streetAnybody ran single piece rotors on track? It’s time to buy brakes and I’m having a hard time swallowing the price of the two piece rotors. I can get all 4 rotors for the price of one Girodisc. Leaning heavily towards going that route since I’ll only be doing 2-3 weekends in the car this year.
~$370 for the fronts. I didn’t ask about the rears. How much are OEM replacements?
Yea the FK8 is what made me lean heavier into trying it. I don’t care about the weight. They’ll likely not dissipate the heat as good but I don’t usually run full sessions anyway. I’m gonna go for it and try it out at Summit next month before making the longer drive to VIR in May.i mean the real move is to use the 2 piece on track and the single for the street
Early FK8s had one piece, and they lived to tell the story. you'll be good either way. It's HPDE not national time attack, even then I think it would be fine as most use centric blanks on other platforms anyway
Rock Auto might have them for cheaper with 5% off if you look up discs for a 2018 Civic Type R~$370 for the fronts. I didn’t ask about the rears.
I'm waiting to see what W.O.T. comes out with, and also Wunderland racing. I really don't want a dual oil cooler though. I'd rather have one trans cooler, and one oil cooler.Looks very functional. Position is good and gets proper ducting. Looks very ugly though![]()
Now those are the prices I'm looking for! I'll likely still order through our supplier at work just in case they don't work out. But I'm gonna give it a shot.Rock Auto might have them for cheaper with 5% off if you look up discs for a 2018 Civic Type R
On the white car I tried R5 front and P3 rear, but quickly switched to R5's square. Currently I'm using DS3.12's in the front and R5's in the rear. Now those are the prices I'm looking for! @PointByPatrol are you running Paragon R5 front and P3 rear? I feel like I read that somewhere but I'm lazy and don't wanna use the search function.
The R5/R5 combo seems to work the best if using Paragon pads. Now those are the prices I'm looking for! I'll likely still order through our supplier at work just in case they don't work out. But I'm gonna give it a shot.
