So I’ve owned my CTR for a week and I can’t get over how quiet it is! I’m not looking to do much more modding than a cat back and maybe an intake. Any cat backs out that don’t sound like crap? Not looking for anything loud, just louder than stock with a good tone and no drone.
Apexi N1X and AWE touring are our best sellers. AWE no ETA though, (December)

Apexi we have in stock and on sale.

AWE Touring. I researched this a lot, and it's the best IMHO.

Pulled the valve fuse and removed the large resonator. $80 parts and labor, took 20 min. No drone. Should’ve came this way from the factory, I’m very satisified.

Before & after:

Sounds great! Did you just take it to an auto shop and have them remove it?

This guy went in a little different direction but it seems like everyone that gets rid of any of them resonators is happy and says no drone.
I think I'm gonna get rid of them as well ...

Getting rid of a resonator is the way to go, the stock exhaust is actually fine for making up to 400 whp so it'll fit most owners' power goals as well.

I’m running a stock exhaust and I’m making power 😉

Slickricks setup is perfect. Exhaust seems like such a waste and like the pro's have said it's not needed unless you are 400+.

If I had an exhaust I would dyno it with stock exhaust and then put in the new one. Just to get you the facts.

Can anyone compare the effects of removing the larger resonator with removing the smaller one? I can take a guess but you never know...

hell yeah im going to sawsaw the large resonator, put a strait stock pipe, and call it a day.

Does anyone know the outside diameter of the stock exhaust tubing?
