Plazmaman now also make an intercooler for the FL5 (piping kit also coming soon which also includes upper charge pipe), if any of you follow the GTR scene you'll know that most of the big HP cars here in Aus run their intercooler so it's safe to say they're onto something. Price point is good too.

QUESTION: My buddy gave me a PRL intercooler and upgraded pipe kit, but didn't have the black metal charge pipe that the vacuum line goes too. If I run the upgraded piping kit with the oem pipe will that cause a major restriction or would the difference be negligible? Picture attached to show the pipe I'm referring to. PRL wont sell me just the pipe sadly..

Someone else can chime in if I'm wrong, but I'm not sure you'd be able to run the PRL charge pipe kit then since the PRL piping and couplers are bigger than OEM. At least you can still use the intercooler with the OEM piping.

Unlikely, as I don't think anyone has one on an FL5 here in the country of origin yet.
I'm waiting to see the finished item, inc the additional piping.
I've seen the prototype and it's impressive.

It's #1 on my list.

MDR T&F It just arrived to my door!

Yeah, it’s slightly heavier than most all tube-and-fins… but you’re getting serious airflow capacity with minimal restriction, and the cooling performance is right on par with their bar & plate core which is kind of wild.

• Dense fin design = better heat transfer
• Strong flow characteristics = less pressure drop penalty

I’ll gladly take a small weight trade-off for consistent IAT control and high flow. More updates to come!

I got them to offer black coated ones to my customers I’m sure I can request that lol no problem and that would be kinda cool

Maybe they've discovered that the bigger and more noticable a logo is on an aftermarket cooler, the better they sell..

It’s optional comes with a stencil you don’t have to use it lol
