I had the same experience with @COBB Tuning and @JST Performance

Both listen to their customers and are extremely responsive.

I am really enjoying my Cobb intake, Jailbreak/AccessPort, and custom tune (on going) by Brian.

I highly recommend both.
My experience with @COBB Tuning on another platform (Audi) have been outstanding as well. But I'm keeping FL5 stock....for now ;):p

That last sentence sounds awfully familiar.

UPDATE on the next addition for the TYPAAHH:

DYME PSI AN fittings. I finished my research on this crazy subplot and am now ready to tackle it. I'm pretty sure I'll fuck something up; but hey gotta fuck up before you fuck down. Rest of the hardware should be coming in tomorrow so I can start mocking up where I want to mount things.

Got a random uptick of people asking how I mount the pins on the interior mesh/grill. Figured I'd share the video here as well for preservation purposes haha.

Rest of the hardware came in and I couldn't help myself to assemble something stupid. Looks like a tachikoma from Ghost in the Shell.

Ok so I'll just list everything I'm using to make this oil filter relocation kit/oil cooler kit (later on). This is completely custom pieced together from my stupid brain as I got the idea from looking at the empty area on the bottom left of the bay. 😅

Parts list:

Improved Racing Low Profile Remote Oil Filter Relocation Adapter (Gen 2)

Improved Racing Remote Engine & Transmission Oil Filter Mount. I plan to add a custom oil cooler later on so I went with the 4 port one. There's a 2 port which will be easier to fit in the space I went with if you decide to do this yourself as well. They also make a 4 port with built in thermostat.

Both those parts require M20x1.5 adapters which they provide when you go through their configurator.

GReddy PRO/SPEC -10 Quick-Release Swivel Hose End - Black / Gold anodized (1x 90 deg and 1x 60 deg) I'm sure there's other angles that can work but this is what I came up with based on a visual inspection.

GReddy -10 ORB male Swivel Hose End(s) - Black / Gold anodized (2x straight ORB)

Dyme PRO/SPEC ORB (Standard) Adapters (2x ORB 10 Male PS Size: 10)

Also get some thread sealant for the 2x Dyme adapters and 2x Greddy straight ORB ends. I use LOCTITE 565. You'll also want some oil to apply on the fittings when threading them together with the hose. Whatever engine oil you have around works. Also get LOCTITE 263 (RED) for the M20x1.5 adapters.

I picked up 12ft of GReddy -10 Nylon Braided Hose(per/ft) - Black / Gold / Blue. Probably don't need this much but I got some extra in case I fuck up. Also after test fitting the oil filter relocation mount I noticed the radiator reservoir tank hose looks like a -10 as well.

But yeah once you look under the car and above you'll get an idea on where the route the lines. Which is the part I'm currently on. Oh, I use an existing mounting point in the bay and just added a spacer (in the photo it's 3/4" tall but I'm going to push out the mount further away from the chassis so I got 1 1/2" and 1 1/4" coming in to test out).

These quick fittings are overkill but they'll help with assembly and disassemble when the time comes to add an oil cooler or if I just want to take a hot oil bath without getting under the car.

Plug to stop oil from getting everywhere if they're disconnected.

-10 Greddy hose. All the Greddy hardware is produced by DYME so you know everything will fit perfectly together. Even though everyone uses AN sizing numbers it doesn't me the OD of the hose will be exactly the same between brands.

First test fit. I originally wanted to mount it in the space between the motor mount and crash beam mounting point but I didn't want to get a custom bracket made as the Improved Racing 4 port I chose only lets you mount it one way. I think the one with the thermostat gives you 3 mounting choices. Ok I went to go look at the product again and it wouldn't really help if you want to have the filter pointing up; which is one of the main reasons of doing this in the first place.

Tight so that's why I ordered longer spaces to try out.

Alright my daughter is asking why I'm taking so long. Peace.

Awesome! My RA272 came in and I hadn’t gotten around to fitting it yet. This helps a lot!

Dammit, I think you just sold me a Cobb.

It's funny and I don't want to derail the thread because this is the best one on the forum- but I just picked up an ND3 Miata as a side quest, and while it is amazing in its own right it actually made me appreciate my DE5 just a bit more. All I have is an Infinity Design intake and Invidia exhaust, and getting into the DE5 after driving the MX-5 around it feels like a rocket ship. I've always actually been a wet blanket for people that go for big power on this platform- still leftover vestiges of my bias against FWD- but I'm really starting to come around on this K20 and the way it delivers power.

I think I've arrived at the point where I feel like just a bit more wouldn't hurt anything. And I've had a custom Cobb tune on an STI in the past that exceeded expectations.

Shit.
