New track shoes mounted, saving 11 pounds per corner. Stock wheels are heavy! Engine oil, transmission fluid and brake fluid changed. Working on setting up a proper TPMS. Now I need another track day.

Is this on stock suspension? It looks damn good!

I am stock right now but H&R springs going in this friday. Of course they are the mildest springs but if this is any comfort the guy I bought the wheels from was running 285/30 and he was on coilovers and had no rubbing what so ever

Stock except track alignment. 10.5” wheels with 275 fills the wheel well nicely.
I have a 275 35 18 on the same wheel 18 x 10.5 47 offset but I'm on eibach Sportline springs and I'm worried about rubbing when I track it so I may be going back to stock springs

I’m wondering if dropping back to 265 might work better on track. I recently noticed that the RE71 (both RS and RZ) in 265 actually has a higher load rating than the 275.

I'm hoping to get some advice on oil for time trials/track days. I am having a problem with high oil temperatures (275) on mild weather days (70), particularly at Laguna Seca, in my 2025 FL5 running a totally stock drivetrain with stock 0/20W oil.

I installed the WOT plate and removed the rain guard but it didn't seem to help. I can't really afford to buy the aftermarket radiator and oil cooler(s?), but I really can't afford to prematurely ruin an engine.

Will a good quality 5/30W oil reduce the risk of engine damage, or do I really need to bite the bullet and spend the $$$$?

I'm heading to Laguna Seca this Saturday April 4 and hope to meet some of you there. Thank you in advance for your help.

Just FYI if you're going with the factory oil temp indicator it is actually unreliable and is not actually measuring anything. It is an estimate based on engine load.

Do you know what was your peak water temp?

Thats good to know. Hopefully it's wrong on the high side. I'm not 100% sure about the water temperature, but I think that it was up to 235. Is that bad?
