Nice safety upgrades. The hans isn't cheap but neither is a neck injury..
Yeah I thought it was only for people with cages and 6 point harnesses. It wasn't until talking to @PointByPatrol that I started to look into it. I saw a guy a the track with it the last time I went and he was telling me that its actually better for a beginner to have it vs a pro because as a beginner you are more likely to crash. He also said that after watching what happens to the neck in a crash you will want one lol.

I'm not someone who likes to blow my money on high quality gear unless I have the skill to take advantage of it, thats one reason why I don't plan to go crazy with mods and only interested in the mods for better track reliability ie cooling mods. So I never really considered it.

The gloves though I kinda splurged 😅I have really long and skinny fingers so I knew that ordering gloves was never going to work, I would have to go to a store and try them on. Thankfully there was a vendor there that had everything I needed. I tried every glove in the store and got the ones that fit my long ass fingers the best.

I don't like the logic beginners more likely to crash vs pro. Accidents happen at all levels. That's why it's important 👍

I got a pair of gloves this year and paired with the alcantata wheel it's amazing no regrets lol.

Woah. Love those gloves. Let us know how they go.

You are getting me to share my helmet and some goodies I just got today :)

Really exicited to try this stuff out. I went to Sebring today and was able to visit a race shop and try on helmets and gloves for sizing. My new helmet is way more comfortable than the one I currently have been using.

Hey all. I have my first track day with the car in a couple of days. I just went to have a look at putting in a tow strap and can’t find the holes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

On the rear on the left side there is a little plastic block you can remove. The OEM tow hook goes there.

As of right now there aren't any good tow hooks because the mounting locations kinda suck.

I bought the EVS towhook for the rear and cut out a piece of the plastic so it goes in there. Its a bit extra, but the OEM tow hook works just fine

Oh brilliant. GPT told me there were no holes so this is really useful. Thanks so much. Will have to use the ugly OEM hook for now.

@Rhorn I got my hook, I don't see a possible way that the hook is in all the way, I even cut a pretty big hole and the hook just hits the cover as I try to get it to go in. also if you ever need to get towed the red part of the hook will probably put some good pressure on the bumper. Maybe it does not matter though and doesn't have to be all the way in but mine looked like it was probably only like half in or so

Mind showing a picture when you can?

Mine was hitting the cover when I was screwing it in too. The hook is denting the cover. Taking off the cover and screwing it in all the way and doing a side view would be a good way to see how deep it is in I think.

I just reused the EVS tow shaft with this HRC strap. Even with the bolt, the cover will not go on completely. I did a new cut, and the hole is not as big as before with the EVS hook.

It has always been fully threaded in. With the EVS hook, I had to cut out a lot more.

This is what I used with the EVS hook.

The new cover I cut basically has the top part retained and only cut below the fold.

Wow so mine must not be fully in then. Where did you get the HRC strap and how did you screw it into the EVS Rod?
