Ravenol MTF-II 75w80 for me. Shifts are smooth as silk.

Running a FK8 but decided to switch to AC Delco transmission fluid from Amsoil after a former FK8 member (Mikael Baxi) reported some shifting issues while tracking his FK8 using the Amsoil. Problem cleared for him after he went to AC Delco. I haven’t experienced any shift issues on the track with the Delco.

So ended up using ravenol, and there has to be an issue with the stock fill my transmission had bc it feels much better and the gears engage quicker and shifting is literally like butter. tbh makes the whole driving experience that much better.

No I am going to use the Amsoil Severe gear oil not the Amsoil MTF. I used the MTF on the s2000 but the type R requires a heavier oil.
For your '24 CTR, what trans fluid are you going with? I think I'm going to go the Amsoil route. Severe Gear 75W-90. I have plenty of that on hand. Either that or perhaps the Redline MTL
Have either of you used the Amsoil severe gear oil? I have access to plenty of it and want to move away from the stock fluid.

It is what I run in mine
Thanks. Wanted to make sure someone was running it successfully. I switched to Amsoil in my SI and it shifted better and was much smoother. Also stopped any second gear grinds. Hoping for the same results. I'm not a fan of the stock fluid.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the Amsoil Severe Gear GL5?

I believe that GL5 is designed for differentials and the formulation corrode brass synchronizers...

Are the FL5 synchros made of brass or carbon?
